Most of you will agree with me that the stores selling skin creams are very expensive.

But did you know that making a natural DIY face cream is often better for your skin, or that it’s actually really easy to make and for a fraction of the price?

Below you will find my all-time favorite anti-aging face DIY cream recipe for reducing and preventing wrinkles, it is also not a greasy cream and absorbs quickly into the skin. I use this morning and evening.

TOP 3 BENEFITS OF ROSE ESSENTIAL OIL

1. Improves depression.

As our ancestors struggled against situations in which their mental state was tempered or otherwise impaired, they were naturally drawn to the pleasant scents and flowers that surrounded them.

The journal Complementary Therapies in Clinical Practice published a study that aimed to clinically prove these types of natural responses to rose aromatherapy. With a group of 28 postpartum women, the researchers divided them into two groups: one who was treated with a 2.5 percent rose/lavender oil aromatherapy solution twice a week for two weeks, and a control group. It was found that the women experienced a significant decrease in postpartum depression scores; they also reported a marked improvement in general anxiety!

How to use it: If you ever feel anxious, try putting five drops of rose and five drops of lavender in a diffuser by your nightstand before going to bed. Hope you wake up refreshed and in peace!

2. Rose oil for skin health.

The antimicrobial and aromatherapy benefits are good reasons to add a few drops to your DIY lotions and creams.

In 2010, Chinese researchers published a study showing that rose oil had 1 of the strongest bactericidal activities compared to 10 other oils. They also found that propionibacterium acnes (the bacteria responsible for acne) was completely destroyed just after five minutes of a 0.25 percent dilution!

It has an ability to increase the permeability of your skin!

As German scientists explained in a 2010 article, one of the most intriguing aspects of rose essential oil is: “For substances applied in rose oil, a clear relationship between their lipophilic character, chemical structure and skin permeation can be confirmed.” What this means is that when rose is added to your beauty and skin products, it opens up your skin to absorb more of the chemicals and nutrients. This can be quite life-changing if you mix your own products and use only the best ingredients. On the other hand, if your products are filled with harmful ingredients, even if the manufacturer contains rose oil, you may be unknowingly exposing yourself to toxic chemicals!

3. Rose Oil For Libido & Hormone Health.

Since it acts as an anti-anxiety agent, it can greatly help men with sexual dysfunction related to performance anxiety and stress.

It helps balance sex hormones, which can contribute to increased sex drive.

How to use : Many men and women planning a romantic evening rub two drops of rose oil on their neck or spread it throughout the house or bedroom.

TOP 3 BENEFITS OF PATCHOULI ESSENTIAL OIL

1. Strengthens hair and skin.

Stimulates muscle contractions and therefore prevents hair loss & sagging skin.

Regenerates new skin cells, and this makes the skin look young, healthy and vibrant.

For all skin types – dry, cracked skin and oily or acne-prone skin.

How to use: Add five drops of patchouli oil to your face wash or lotion, or massage the oil directly into your face. For your hair, massage five drops of patchouli oil into your scalp or add it to your conditioner.

2. Minimizes scars.

Due to its fast healing properties, it minimizes the appearance of scars or marks left behind from acne, wounds, measles, smallpox or boils.

How to use: To speed up the healing process of unwanted blemishes on the skin, rub 2-3 drops of patchouli oil into your hands and then apply to the scarred area. Do this daily and you will notice that the stains disappear.

3. Natural deodorant.

Patchouli oil has a sweet, musky, and spicy aroma; it can be used to naturally mask body odor. It also kills germs and fights mold, so it’s a great natural odor eliminator for any infested area.

How to use: Rub 1-2 drops under your armpits or add to your favorite body lotion. Keep in mind that the scent is quite strong, so just a drop or two will do.

RECIPE:

Ingredients:

5 grams of tephose (vegetable hardened palm fat, very easy emulsifier, good for all preparations from creams to body lotions. Again use the organic ones, especially for our beloved orangutans!)

25 ml rose water.

15 ml sesame oil.

10 drops of rose essential oil.

5 drops of patchouli essential oil.

Heat the tefose and sesame oil au-bain-marie until both substances have melted.

Let it cool down a bit.

Mix the essential oils with the heated mixture.

Add the rose water very slowly and keep mixing, so that you have a nice consistency.

Put it in the fridge to cool down.

Now you have a very nice cream to use!

Note:

Make sure to buy organic and natural products!

They may cost more, but at the end of the day, it’s really worth it.

Have fun!
